Tipping - General

There are many racing punters who follow the tips of others and many who have excellent strike rates. For instance top tipsters like Pricewise in the Racing Post and Tom Lee of Ch 4 and Betting Directory fame have huge followings and prodeuce many winners during the course of the flat season and particularly in the Englsi Classics

2009 English Classic Tipping

Many think that tipping in the English Classic races is reasonably easy as in theory the best horse in the race should win. If that is the case then yes they would be right, but no-one really knows who the best horse in the race is on the day and thats what makes punting and tipping so much fun.

In the 1000 Guineas talk for over a year had centered on Rainbow View, who had looked a superb filly as a two year old and even the top tipsters were finding it difficult to oppose her in the race. She went off a solid 8/11 odds on favourite but she could only manage fifth spot behind surprise winner, Ghanaati at 20/1. The Ghanaati win was not so much a shock when all things were considered however. Admittedly she had only one run previously winning on the All Weather as a two year old, but the real give away was in the interviews held with trainer, Barry Hills before the race. He told the media that his filly was a class act and that he was very confident about her chances before the race. Unfotunately not many heeded his words and punters missed out a big price winner.

The Epsom Oaks this year there were so many tips for the eventual winner, Sariska that she was backed down into favouritism and duly obliged providing a reasonable win for tipsters and favourite backers. She won at 9/4

The final classic will be upon us very soon and our tip and thoughts for the for race will be available on this page
