2000 Guineas Betting OddsNewmarket has been the home of Flat racing and horse racing betting for over 300 years. The 2000 Guineas is run over the Rowley Mile Course and is named after King Charles II "Old Rowley" who founded the Newmarket meetings following his restoration to the throne in 1660.

The Rowley Mile course is located on the edge of the Newmarket Town and you can easily see the magnificent Millennium Grandstand which dominates the skyline as you approach the course. The Rowley Mile features the best of Newmarket meetings both in early and late season and of course the first two of the English five classic races in late June: the 2000 and 1000 Guineas.

The 2000 Guineas is for the colts and will be ran in on Saturday 3rd May over the Straight Rowley Mile.

2000 Guineas Winners

There have been a number of famous 2000 Guineas Winners since the first race back in 1809. Frankel was the emphatic winner of the 2000 Guineas in 2011 and who knows there could be another big breakthrough in this years race. Frankel justified his position as the odds-on favourite by storming to victory in the 2011 2000 Guineas. The three-year-old, who was ridden by Tom Queally and trained by Henry Cecil, stormed to an impressive six-length victory.
