The Rowley Mile course is located on the edge of the Newmarket Town and you can easily see the magnificent Millennium Grandstand which dominates the skyline as you approach the course. The Rowley Mile features the best of Newmarket meetings both in early and late season and of course the first two of the English five classic races in late June: the Stan James 1000 and 2000 Guineas.

The Stan James 2000 Guineas is for the colts and will be ran in late April over the Straight Rowley Mile.

Frankel was the clear favourite in the 2000 Guineas Betting Odds in 2011 and it is Harbour Watch who is the early one to watch for the 2000 Guineas in 2012. The Irish horse has finished first in all of its three races so far, including most recently the Richmond Strakes at Glorious Goodwood. There have been a number of famous 2000 Guineas Winners since the first race back in 1809. Frankel was the emphatic winner of the 2000 Guineas in 2011 and who knows there could be another big breakthrough in this years race. Frankel justified his position as the odds-on favourite by storming to victory in the 2011 2000 Guineas. The three-year-old, who was ridden by Tom Queally and trained by Henry Cecil, stormed to an impressive six-length victory.
